Education
Brian began his musical journey in Rochester, New York. His early education was highlighted by a stint at the Eastman School of Music Preparatory Department in Rochester, before moving on to college at the Manhattan School of Music. He began performing professionally in 1981 as a keyboardist and vocalist, also serving in the capacity of composer and arranger. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of musical genres, including Pop, Rock, Alternative, Jazz, Fusion Jazz, Funk/R&B, Latin, Blues, and Country. 

Performance
Brian has accumulated numerous performing and recording credits with various artists of note, including The Platters with Herb Reed, Chet Catallo and Eli Konikoff (former guitarist and drummer with Spyrogyra), Don Mancuso (former guitarist with Lou Gramm of Foreigner), Elvio Fernandes (keyboardist/vocalist for Daughtry), Jennifer Jo Oberle (bassist/vocalist with Vertical Horizon, Five for Fighting), Perfect World (Rochester based pop/alternative band), and The Atomic Swindlers (performing on and playing supporting gigs for their acclaimed 2004 release "Coming Out Electric").     

Currently, Brian can be found performing with several Boston-based groups, including gigs with LoVeSeXy-A Tribute to the Music of Prince, and No Static (Steely Dan tribute), as well as regular dates with his duo Jodee & Brian, with singer/guitarist Jodee Frawlee. 

Brian has also performed in a number of opening slots for national acts over the years, warming up for Dream Theatre, Stanley Turrentine, Average White Band, The Beach Boys, Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze), JY (of Styx), Taylor Dayne, and Will Dailey.    

Piano Instruction
Brian has also maintained a full slate of piano students since 1987, working at various studios in the Rochester area, including CSE Music in Webster, New York and Northfield Music in Pittsford, New York, as well as St. Michaels School in Newark, New York. He currently resides in Westborough, Massachusetts, traveling the surrounding area for in-home, private lessons with students of all levels and ages. Drawing upon his lengthy experience as both a performer and an educator, Brian is able to personally connect with his students to create a comfortable environment that is conducive to both progress and enjoyment.
